Tonight on State of the Bay, we’ll get election eve analysis from UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) pollster Mark DiCamillo.

Plus we’ll explore California’s new proposed regulation to phase out fossil-fuel trucks, as well as the concerns that both environmental groups and trucking businesses have about it. Guests include:

  • Daniel Sperling, California Air Resources Board member, director of the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Davis

City Visions Special Election Coverage: Today 4-6pm!

Election Day is here! I’ll be hosting a special City Visions afternoon election coverage show live on KALW radio 91.7 FM (and streaming live) from 4-6pm PT today. Joining me during the 4pm hour (which will include portions of the national NPR broadcast) will be:

  • Mark DiCamillo, Director of IGS Poll, a non-partisan survey of California public opinion on matters of politics, public policy and public affairs conducted by the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley
  • Sonia Narang, KALW’s Elections Coverage Manager

Election Anxiety, Jazz Vocalist Bobi Céspedes & Bay Area COVID update — Tonight On City Visions At 6pm

Feeling anxious about Election Day tomorrow? You’re not alone. According to the American Psychological Association, more than two-thirds of Americans say the 2020 presidential election is a significant source of stress in their lives. Tonight at 6pm on City Visions, we’ll discuss techniques for managing the emotional toll of this election and share some tips for how to cope with the potential days or weeks of uncertainty ahead. 

Plus we’ll talk about San Francisco’s re-opening pause following an uptick in COVID cases last week, and we’ll hear our interview with Oakland-based singer and composer Bobi Céspedes, whose new album is “Mujer y Cantante.”
